Description
STL Beds Super Heavy Duty Center Support Bars are solid telescoping middle braces specifically built to support your mattress and boxspring set. It uses four 1 ½ angle iron cross support bars that run crosswise. Positioning is as follows. One bar at each end runs parallel with the head and footboard.
The remaining 2 bars will be positioned so that they are equally spaced between previously mentioned head and foot bar bracings. Each of the 4 cross support bars includes 3 solid steel legs and 3 adjustable feet per bar. Why do we utilize more steel braces and so many feet? We do this to distribute the weight load down to the floor.
Additionally, this lightens the overall load placed on your current headboard, footboard, and long wooden side rails. We have designed these to handle the jobs that ordinary bed frame supports cannot i.e. larger individuals, plus-sized couples, and even softside waterbeds.
Our support system is simply unmatched when compared to other bed frame support systems. This is the support system that can ease the minds of those concerned about the possibility of bed frame failure. It’s simply the strongest. Our rock-solid super-duty support system can easily support weights in excess of 2000 lbs. with proper installation.
Fit Criteria: Will These Super Heavy Duty Center Support Bars (Steel Support Slats) Fit My Bed?
- Headboard and Footboard: You must have one of the following 3 sizes: King, California King, or Queen with headboard and footboard made of wood. (Under “SIZE” Choose King, California King, or Queen)
- Wooden Side Rails: Your bed must have 2 wooden side rails. Each rail, (the left side rail and the right side rail will then hook into the vertical slots of your headboard and then into your footboard. NOTE: They can also attach using traditional bolts and nuts if your bed does not have a hook-in connection.
- Wooden lip: Be sure that on the inside of each of your wooden side rails there is a wooden lip or ledge. This lip should run nearly the entire length of the wood side rails. NOTE: In the old days’ wooden slats were placed on the lip and multiple wooden slats spanned the bed’s width to support your box spring and mattress. Today we recommend the support system you are currently shopping for because of their superior strength head to toe and side to side for maximum weight distribution. These comply with all manufacturer warranties (Sealy, Serta, Tempur-Pedic, Simmons, etc.
- PLEASE MEASURE LIP: Measure from your floor (pressing firmly) up to the top of the wooden lip/ledge. (NOT the wooden side rail itself.)
- a.) Option 1: The top of the lip measures between 7 inches and 17 inches (Under “Lip Height” choose 7 1/2″-17″ option)
- b.) Option 2: The top of the lip measures between 5. inches and 7 1/2 inches (Under “Lip Height” choose 5″ to 7 1/2″ option)
